Laurentiuslay

This vineyard is probably one of the shooting stars along the Mosel. Not many years ago it was only a hint among insiders, nowadays the wines from the Laurentiuslay have an international reputation.

Luckily the “Flurbereinigung” had been too expensive in this steep vineyard. Thus the site can be seen in its original profile with many little dry walls and terraces. Also the natural flow of water was not broken by any road making, even in the driest summer there is plenty of moisture. Due to the nearly Mediterranean climate sun-loving plants and animals feel comfortable in the Laurentiuslay. Hence you can see plenty of lizards sunbathing on the warm slate when the sun is shining.
